Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsOpportunity to Lead Design OperationsCareer Growth in a High-Impact RoleAbout Our ClientThe client is a prominent organization within the real estate sector, known for its extensive portfolio of large-scale developments.Job DescriptionManage the design function within the Project Management & Engineering department, overseeing all aspects of master planning and concept design.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines throughout the design process.Monitor the performance of the Design & Development unit, preparing periodic reports on individual and unit performance.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information flow and build awareness on design-related matters.Supervise day-to-day operations of the design team to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.Review all design documents and plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and budget constraints.Provide technical expertise to support the translation of master plans into detailed designs.Manage the selection and work of consultants, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline compliance.Conduct regular evaluations of consultant progress and provide necessary feedback.Support the development of policies and procedures related to design operations and ensure their implementation.Oversee people management activities, including staff development, performance appraisals, and feedback provision.Ensure adherence to environment, health, and safety policies throughout the design and development process.Foster a culture of change management and continuous improvement within the team.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering & Design, along with relevant certifications such as AutoCAD and Revit. They will possess significant experience in architectural design and project management, ideally with 4 to 6 years for Bachelor's degree holders (including at least 2 years in a managerial role) or 2 to 4 years for postgraduate holders (with at least 1 year in a managerial capacity).Key characteristics include:Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects and master planning, with a strong understanding of design principles and regulatory standards.Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, providing guidance and constructive feedback to optimize performance.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess designs for feasibility, cost, and risk, making critical recommendations.
