We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - HSSE who is adept at ensuring safe and efficient operations within the Real Estate industry. This role is based in Makkah and focuses on maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental management.

The role is with a large organization in the Construction industry, developing multiple assets in the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with Saudi regulations, international best practices (ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and corporate standards.
  • Overseeing all aspects of on site health, safety and environmental management within the company.
  • Implementing and monitoring robust HSSE strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead the development of HSSE strategies across design, construction, and operational phases of the project.
  • Leading and training a team to maintain the highest levels of HSSE performance.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and improvements.
  • Conduct safety briefings, workshops, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Managing any incidents, ensuring they are properly investigated and resolved.
  • Reporting on HSSE performance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Senior Manager - HSSE' should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSSE regulations and standards.
  • 14+ years of experience in HSSE management within hospitality, real estate, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Contractor/PMC/ Client side experience, with exposure to mega projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • The ability to promote a positive HSSE culture within an organisation.
  • Experience in handling incident management and investigations.
